Elderspeak occurs when someone in a senior’s life, whether well-meaning or not, uses language that talks down to an older adult by focusing on their age and ailments instead of what they can do and who they are. Christmas Pops 2015!!!!

Paul Plant, Director of The Lawrence County Oratorio Society, has announced that Christmas Pops rehearsals will begin on Monday, October 5, 2015 at 7:15 p.m. at Coleman United Methodist Church on North Military in Lawrenceburg.   Rehearsal will be each Monday night until the performance in early December.

This year Christmas Pops will be presented on Monday, December 7, 2015, at the Old Crockett Theater.

“We are excited about this year’s performance and look forward to having the largest singing group ever”, said Plant. “Anyone who enjoys singing the music of Christmas is invited to come and sing with us.”

This will be the 29th annual performance and as always will feature a guest artist in addition to the Pops Choir and the Bradley Brass. For further information contact Paul B. Plant at 931-762-7528.

What Medicare Doesn’t Cover

I’m about to sign up for Medicare Part A and B and would like to find out what they don’t cover so I can avoid any unexpected costs down the road.

Medicare covers a variety of health care services, but it certainly does not cover everything.
